| Biography |
 | Since their 1996 inception, Montreal's TRICKY WOO has released two full-length CDs, a couple of seven-inch singles and a plethora of compilation tracks. Now the time has come to unleash Sometimes I Cry, the band's third full-length in as many years. This is maximum TRICKY WOO. The sounds emanating from your speakers channel you into a world still ruled by the power of a guitar solo.
Let your mind be branded by the opening passage of Altamont Raven. Embrace forbidden passions as you storm throught the winding road to the Electric Orchard. Fly the Orient without ever leaving the ground. Marvel at the blinding energy which flows out of the Tails of the Sunray. Familiarize yourself with the grooves contained within this tiny aluminum disc, and rejoice as you become one with what is perhaps one of the richest, most energetic, and complex rock records of this decade.
Sometimes I Cry is not light-hearted fare for the casual music fan. It is serious tuneage for people who want to be blown to smithereens.
Through non-stop touring TRICKY WOO has developed a live show which is to die for. They are definitely one of Canada's most explosive live acts. Sharing the stage with the band has proven to be a challenge for even the most experienced touring veterans. Their tour behind 1998's The Enemy Is Real saw the band criss-cross Canada and the American Midwest twice, as well as heading down to California for select shows.
So until TRICKY WOO come through your town with their guns blazing, study this record, memorize the words, lose yourself in the psychedelic cover art and remember what it is like to have a favourite band once again. |
