Genre: Fun, funny, mostly acoustic, lively, happy, strange, beautiful music with a twist. Two people who enjoy their work, have things to say, and interesting imaginations to squeeze inspiration out of. Official site: http://www.ticklebro.cjb.net News & Events: Ticklish Brother was featured on CBC Radio's "Madly Off In All Directions" with Lorne Elliott, AGAIN! Broadcast March 30, 2002, we played one song off the cd and two new ones, to over half a million people across Canada!
We're hoping that 2004 will yield a second Ticklish Brother album. We've been writing steadily since the release of 'Practicality At Its Maximum', and we have enough material for a couple of CDs. So the next little while will see some polishing and selecting, and hopefully some recording before the summer is over!
We've also started a weblog, where you can hear day-to-day ramblings, get news, and chat with us about what's going on. Check it out at http://www.xanga.com/ticklish_brother

| Biography |
 | Ticklish Brother is a 2-person band, formed in 1996 while both members were in their first year of the BFA Theatre program at Sir Wilfred Grenfell College in Corner Brook, Newfoundland. Two friends who get along really well, Byron and Justin began writing and performing songs together, developing a very loyal and appreciative local audience. We have a huge amount of fun writing and developing our songs, and love to perform to such enthusiastic audiences as we have been fortunate to have. Our first CD, entitled "Practicality At Its Maximum" was released October 13, 2000. It was lovingly produced by Justin, and appears on the fledgling label Very Nice Records. We believe in energy, commitment, authenticity, beauty, and raw vitality in music, and both our performances and CD attempt to say 'no thank you' to the compromises and bleaching of big-money commercial mainstream music. We hope you will be pleasantly surprised. Please check out our website for further information and up-to-the-minute news. Thank you very much. |
