This band's unique blurring of lounge and pop reveals an intelligence and personality that make The Rude Mechanicals an essential listening experience. Their first CD, The Prologue is Addressed, surfaces from the band's reputation as a successful live show, and reflects how quickly bandmates Dennis Ellsworth, Peter Forbes, Mike Mella, Todd MacLean, and Matt McQuaid have become a productive unit.
In less than two years of playing together, The Rude Mechanicals have already shared the bill with such performers as The Watchmen, Ron Sexsmith, Bif Naked, and Emm Gryner.
