| Biography |
 | The Puritans formed like most bands do: though the classified ads. Bob had a washer and drier for sale that Vlad inquired about over the phone. After looking at the goods, Vladimir told Bob he would take the appliances off his hands and, in return, Bob would get to join his band. They had a deal. Thinking he had put one over on Bob, Vlad went on his merry way, believing he would never see him again.
Bob unintentionally showed up at one of Vlad's gigs. Being a quick thinker, Vladimir darted for the washroom and wrapped his head in toilet paper. Thus, his masked-bassist shtick was born. Bob, however, did notice Vlad was in the house. Eventually, both musicians put aside their differences and formed a new band.
The lethargic duo began placing advertisements in the "Lawn Ornaments" sections of various papers in the hopes of attracting like-minded musicians.
