Biography
Ocean Hope is a musical territory fronted by singer-songwriter-producer Jason Bajada. It is sonically driven by Max 707's powerful basslines, Shawn Moore's "soothing-yet-charging" guitar and Marc Brazeau's backbone-beats.

Their first effort "...Crash a Silence" was recorded in a cozy country setting at Natural Source Recording Studios in Saint-Sauveur in the summer of 1999. The 4 title demo (Wait, Angel?, Dirty Dave & Bleak) sold over 300 copies in as little as 4 months. -Wait- came in 6th place on montreal's MIX 96 songwriter's contest in 1999. And -Dirty Dave- made the top 10 in most requested songs in the Yukon. Ocean Hope concentrated on building their fanbase with great live performance and mouth-to-ear. The work even caught the attention of Gino Ramacieri of Novità productions (Lili Fatale, Modern Stories, Rioux) who has been working with Jason ever since.

In April of 2000, Ocean Hope was ready to record their 1st full-length album with long time friend: Borza Ghomeshi (Ramasutra, Pierre Marchand, Luba) who co-produced the record with Bajada. "The Control Freak & His Red Peace" was recorded in 5 weeks and features 13 delicious songs. With the first full-length album launched in June 2000 at Cafe Campus, Ocean Hope attracted a full-house of passionate fans anxious to discover the new material. Ocean Hope continues to conquer Montreal listeners' attention with every show, giving people more than their money's worth by stimulating them sonically.
