| Biography |
 | IIV were a key band in Vancouver's postpunk period from 1981 to 1985. Starting out, the band released 2 independent EPs,Prerelease and Educated Man, while rarely performing live. In 1983 IIV signed with Warners and released 2 more EPs and 1 LP. These contained hits such as Lust For Love, Call It Love, Save It, and In The House. In 1985 the band relocated to Toronto and released 1 EP with Quality records (a remix of in the house, which won the 1986 CASBY award for single of the Year) IIV were nominated for a Juno in 1985 and in 1986 won a CASBY award for Group of the year. IIV released one more LP, The Spell, on Anthem in 1988. While the band stopped performing after a 10th anniversary show in 1991, a best of CD with 1 new song was released on SPG in 1995. Live and unreleased material is now available at mp3.com. |
