| "When the group was originally formed, its name was Grumpy Old Man. Then within the first year, the group changed the name to "HIP VOODOO". This the 1st CD recorded by the group, and at the time of recording Jazmyn was only 14 yrs old and Zakry was only 12 yrs old, and they had just started playing their instruments 3 months earlier. Most of the songs are cover tunes and the consist of more of a blues influence, with some rock thrown in for good measure. The songs are very well performed by the band and this CD was recorded LIVE while on the road travelling during the summer of 1997 throughout southern Manitoba.
