| Biography |
 | Breach of Trust harnesses the energy of colliding forces and influences to forge a bold new musical identity. The Saskatchewan quartet, together since 1993, is currently poised to release the much anticipated follow up to 1995s stellar Rockin Rod Records debut, Dead Issue EP. A band that values the quality of songs over the quantity of product, much like artists such as Tom Waits and Soundgarden, the wait is just about over for sophomore release Songs for Dying Nations, due out in 2000.
The band, consisting of Marty Ballentyne on lead vocals and guitar, Collin Cheechoo on guitar and vocals, Zane Kryzanowsky on bass and vocals and Billy Aubut on drums, bring together a diverse range of musical personalities in the creation of the Breach sound. The band creates its own signature from pop hooks and melodies, the feral energy and attack of hardcore, the grooves of todays new school metal bands, and the brevity of punk. The sound is at once distinctive and familiar, a sign of timelessness.
Far from genres such as grunge, industrial, or pimp rock, the band is defined by the strength of its songs and the conviction of their execution. Each song is a reflection of the collective mentality of the members. The live show encapsulates the passion, intensity, and interplay of the group, which is always evolving. No two Breach shows are the same.
